 * Received a call from IHG reservations - Dettwyler/Francie who has two rooms booked for the 8/19/2024 for 3 nights would like to cancel their bookings without any cancellation charges as they have an emergency come up. I asked them to call tomorrow morning and speak to the manager. I went ahead and canceled them. Aarti if a guest calls and wants to cancel as long as its within 24 hours of the reservation you can cancel the reservation. If they call saying they have an emergency then always cancel even within the 24hr window.  If its a third party they must ALWAYS call the third party they used to cancel. - Copied - Aarti

 We cannot keep people's luggage or boxes for several days, we do not have the space to accommodate that.   314  - Had a B2B reservation for 8/12, but when I tried to check him out after last night's Audit (8/11/24) his CC for incidentals was declined. He'd charged more than the $100 deposit and the card would not authorize for more. Since the card was declining, I could not check him in under the new reservation. I advised April of this when she came in for A Shift. April noted that she tried to contact him but was unable to. The new reservation was marked as a No Show during the Audit. The reservation was for 8/12-8/15, so he is likely still in house. He needs to provide an alternate payment method, or he must vacate the room. John Leddy (CRS #49535016)  - No Show. No CC on file. Before he entered only one guest had checked out and left his keycard in the card drop box. Once I returned to the front desk the card was missing and that individual changed his mind about the room and stated his friend was staying here. He entered the elevator and I asked Matt to locate him as I figured he took the card and was trying to enter the room. He was located and I asked him about the key card he denied having it and I asked him to leave. I was unable to check out the guest who left the keycard as I was in the process of printing out the housekeeping log and stappling Jeff's copy. The individual was a tall gentleman with a white t-shirt with a black square on it and a design in the middle, with curly hair wearing a over the shoulder man bag.
