Brennon B Shift 12/31/23

 241 Jones wants her receipt sent to her via email the email is on file. She left tonight and I told her we will check he out in the morning once audit has concluded. Jose Balcazar Has a car parked out back for long term parking. He comes back tomorrow. Someone has stolen his back tire off. Unfortately we are not liable for the theft. He can make a police report, that is all we can advise him to do. If he wants anything more have him contact Tas or Brennon. I have talked to them have have already been assisted- Brennon Joshua Abraham Is checking out however the card on file is not approving I have sent an email out to the main contact in the canary information. I'm hope she will contact back by tomorrow. With the holiday there may be a slight chance she will reach out.

 Please be sure you are making notes in blog and on reservation for late check outs. Third party and non members do not get free late check outs. Upgrades are only for Platinum and Diamond members. If someone else wants a bigger room, they have to pay, member or not. Please be sure you are marking the rewards nights tax exempt, I had to correct sever this morning. If there is one of our employees, hotel or restaurant, room given, it still has to be put in the system as a comped room, but only with manager approval. Please acknowledge and initial below. Brennon 12-30-23 Am shift

 241 Jones may extended another night. We can add on the reservation that it is a B2B reservations when it is appropriate to do so to let the AM Shift and housekeeping know. They would like to stay in the same room.  326 Vanroy is due to arrive and is acting very suspicious. He did request that he wants no one know he is here. I told him that we will keep his stay here confidential. however if law enforcement comes and asks we will give out the information. He has been wandering around the property outside as if he maybe homeless. He will need a CARD AND VAILD ID AT CHECK IN The Basketball TEAM is staying another night. All the breakfast vouchers are in an envelope for April to give out tomorrow 

Kristy Audit Shift

 Room 205 very displeased with the night. Complaints about noise above them. I offered to move them but they have a game early and didn't really like that solution. Had to have security address this due to the hostility I just thought it would be better. Mr. Borden stays here every other weekend with his family and we have never had any issues before so I am not sure that the noise is coming from the room right above 205( that being 305 Mr. Borden's room) walk throughs have not yielded anything note worthy.  Mr. Borden was defensive when security approached him denies any noise was from his room. thought Security was out of pocket by coming across with an aggressiveness he did not appreciate. I told him Security has a job to do and that they never know what is on the other side of a door so if it felt aggressive to please consider the position of the job they do. He went back to his room satisfied. I did offer to move his room and he also was unwilling to move. Noise complaint...

Cynthia B-shift 12/29/23

221 Would like a 1pm c/o on Saturday 205 and 231 are with the team and wanted to extend another night but they were 3rd party reservations. So I made them new reservations and kept them in the same room. I told them they just needed to come down in the morning and check out and back in they said ok I also had to throw away all 4 of the fruit cups that were in the market due to them all being expired. So 223 came to the desk around 830 saying his key wasn't working so I verified the res and remade the key. HIs wife came down with their daughter a few mins later saying someone else was in the room.  I tried calling the room no answer. I asked Jessie to go check who was in the room. He came back down with a homeless looking crack head. The guy said that some girl let him in there and some guy had given her the key. I asked the guy if he had a registered room and he said no so I told him he was going to need to leave the hotel. Jessie told him 5 mins and he needed to be gone and the gu...

I made a mistake in which room that I gave to them because I thought it was a 2 and it ended up being a 3 so 327 and 337, looking similar on the computer screen because of my eyesight not being the best I made a mistake. Brennon AM Shift 12/28/23

There are a lot or Third Party Reservations today. Please take your time when checking them in to insure it is be charged correctly. All deposits have been taken and and notes have been inputted.   There are a lot of Breakfast rooms as well. Each room gets one voucher for 2 people. We need to clarify that at check in. ONLY ONE VOUCHER PER ROOM, EACH VOUCHER FEEDS 2 PEOPLE. Homeless man was starting fires on the west side of building. We reported it to the police, about 30 min later he was gone however the trash was left behind. 

Tia - Audit 12 / 26 / 23

 1. A Male wearing a blue hoodie, black pants and and a gray hat was dropped off upon me coming into work. He inquired about a room and stated he was waiting for someone to wire money into his account. I gave him awhile then asked him to leave as he was just hanging out. He later returned and tried to hang out in the lobby again. I again had to ask him to leave as he was scaring a guest trying to check in. He returned again and I spoke with him through the door letting him know he was unable to stay inside the lobby. Security came and he went away and hasn't returned. 2. Guest in 225 stated he noticed a lot of ants in his room. Hw will be checking out today but want to bring it my attention. Will forward the message to oncoming A shift staff.

Cynthia B-shift 12/26/23

 I had a lady come in today and say she had made a res with a gentleman on the phone but I couldn't find a res for today or in the future so I just made her a new res for today after I checked her in she asked if we had a hot tub and I told unfortunately not. She stated she was told we did and asked if she could just check out and cancel the res. So I undid the check in and canceled the res. It wouldn't let me send her a copy of the cancelation so I gave her the under and told her that if she had any issues to call the hotel with that cancelation #. 328 came to that front desk stating they have been here 3 days and haven't gotten service any of the days. They would like FULL SERVICE TOMORROW PLEASE!!!!! She said specially the sheets. A Michael Burton made a res thru booking. When he came in to check in I informed him of the 100 dep he got a little upset. I informed him it was in the fine print of the res on booking. He tried to pay with cash then a prepaid debit card, I inf...

 1. Got a call from a older sounding Man stating he was Tas dad. He stated a package will be delivered on our new system. He gave me reference number # 409 - 3769 - 7781  & a tracking # 315 - 0022 - 950. He gave me his number (850) - 427 - 0082. He stated he was on way to the hotel and that if anyone called speak to management about the equipment coming in to personally give him a call. He also told me he was in touch in Tas. So next I get a phone call from a man stating the equipment was coming in he asked for Tas and wanted me to verify her first and last name. He asked for the information that the other man gave me then asked if I could get in contact with The first who called himself Mr. Putel because he stated the first payment went through fine but the second payment was declined because it was completed with a wells fargo check which wasn't allowed. He stated hat the total was $5000 if he could make a partial payment  the equipment can still be delivered but he...

Room 205 were only here for a couple of hours, they ended up having 4 guests come into the hotel, they all went swimming and then they dropped the keys off on there way out the door.     2. Room 417 is checking out tomorrow and we had them put into a pet room for the eventuality that they might have a pet room, but they ended up NOT having any pets in the hotel for the duration of there stay so please make sure that they do NOT get charged the 25.00 pet fee associated with that. Thank You     3. I swept, mopped and vacuumed again, also I cleaned the desk  thoroughly, wiping it down does not do it justice, there was caked on grime from ages of not getting cleaned. Just an observation.      4. I left a room Key for Joshua Abraham in the 2nd till, it's for his guest and she is listed in his account. Her name is Carissa. His room is 408. She will be here in the afternoon sometime to get the key. ...

Wendy Gutierrez is in room 217 She stated she is not sure if she will be having a pet in the room. The pet was going to be with them, however has not been so far. At check out she will let you know if there had been a pet in the room and the amount of days the pet was in the room. BREAKFAST FOR TOMORROW IS CLOSED! No BREAKFAST. we need to let  people who have  a voucher know that there will be some Offerings in the Steakhouse. I presume it will be things like bagels, muffins and grab and go items.

Tia - Audit 12 / 23 / 23

 1. There has been 2 individuals that stayed via "IVANI" using their IHG reward points. Room 221 & wife. They stated that they normally stay with Holiday Inn express and always receive breakfast. also that they would be here also for Christmas and hadn't thought about providing breakfast for they're stay as they has always gotten it included. She's afraid due to Christmas the lack of restaurants will be open. I apologized for the inconvenience.  She would like to speak with management in the morning and I let her know I will make him aware. 2. I had to re-room 424 as they needed a TQNN bed to 409, they also rented 411. so 409 is due out today and 411 is due out tomorrow. If 409 checks out 411 will also be empty.

Tia - Audit

 1. At 1 am I received a call from the "sheriffs office" stating that he has confirmation of a guest staying inside the hotel and that he couldn't give any information but a squad team would be coming to retrieve the guest. He stated he couldn't tell me what time but that it would happen sometime on my shift. He later called back asking me my name again stating I would be summoned to court, I couldn't make out much as his phone was going in and out he stated something to the effect of if I made a payment the problem would go away. I assumed it to be a scammer. I hung on him, he called back several times however he didn't have good reception on his end and again I was only to hear bits and pieces. 2. I made a mistake on guest in room 311, I made him a reservation and gave him a key to his room however due to being distracted by phone calls I did not check him, I thought that I had. He was billed as a no show however he stayed the entire night. I tried to fix it...

Everyone in the Hotel left early and so I was left by myself since 915 or 920 and then Kris's Daughter called the desk informing me that she fell down a flight of stairs with a baby in her hands and had to go to the hospital, hopefully everyone is ok.      2. I had to get into the Maintenance safe once again because I had to use one of there key sets to unlock the gate out back to let in a truck.     3. Guest Kim Tyler will be very late checking in, they have had a lot of issues with the flight that they are taking and it doesn't put them in at pdx until Groome shuttle services' last trip down here from PDX and so they are going to try to make the last shuttle and if that is the case then they will be in at the hotel around 230 or so, and in that case we are going to have to check them in or do something to help them keep there room because they are coming and want the room!! At 9:36 p.m. I was informed that someone had an accident in the pool, a little kid turd was found floating in the pool and Maintenance was not happy about it, I am making a sign that states that the pool is to be closed for the next 24 hours.      2. I am requesting that we receive ergonomic keyboards because I find it very challenging to type on the keyboard due to the fact that I have arthritis in my right wrist.

 If a guest is needing to print something, please have them email it to the front desk email, and then print it out for them.  We cannot plug in usb drives, for security and safety with our computer systems. Never plug anything into our computers!!! IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SATURDAY Chris Brooks is checking in we need to apply the card for Inc for both reservations the one for Saturday night and Sunday night. He will be coming back in on Monday but we are checking him in on Sunday. This means we are collecting the payments from booking.com  DO NOT NO SHOW THE RESERVATION!!!!!

April, A-Shift, 12/20/23

 Ashwani Kumar, checked out 12/10 from room 240, was the DJ with Jasmeet wedding, will be emailing a shipping label for his jacket that was left behind. Black and grey, says Playboy on the back. Shawn has it in his office. We are missing a luggage cart, it's been missing for at least a couple days. I have it narrowed down to room 407 or 427. Alex, please call and check with them if they have it. Thank you.

Tia Audit 12 / 19 / 23

 1.Cacassion male about 5'7 red coat with fur on the hood entered the building walking with his head down towards the back of the building. I asked if I could help him as he was trying to go near the back stair case near the back door and he stated no. He went towards the staircase but then exited out the back. I made sure the back door was closed properly and I locked the front doors. Security checked the grounds and the stair case. twice now.

 1. Housekeeping really dropped the ball here. I had a guest with a child with who recently had heart surgery complain that the two rooms I put them in were dirty and unclean.     Room 303 toilet paper was found on the floor behind the door and a hair tie.     Room 323 was dusty and there was a used COVID test found in the room.

I missed everyone and cant wait to meet all the new ppl.   Pretty quiet tonight I had to move 207 to 239 then again to 241 due to her being a very light sleeper and the other rooms had noisy guest in them and she asked to move due to it. All of the film group are checking out today. All charges should be on the same card.  Lemon was a no show however I did collect and check the guest in cards are made incase they show up. If not, it sounds like a a room housekeeping wont have to worry about. If they do show up they need to check out at 11. If they want to stay through the night they will have to pay for another night.

First of all I just wanted to apologize to the team for missing work on Thursday and I feel really bad that Secret Santa was taken because of my lack of communication. It was not my intention for anything of the sort to happen and I hope that you all will forgive me, as I am human and make mistakes.      2. Once again the cash register on the right hand side is off, but at-least this time someone decided to add to the drawer instead of take from. None the less we are now heavy 2.00 on register 2.      3. Someone found a pendant that goes on the front of a dress or some kind of dressy clothing, I believe it is costume jewelry. Also someone turned in some diamond earrings that also look fake, I will put them in the cash register number 1.     4. The system worked flawless for me tonight other then NO printing.

WE NEED TO BE GETTING THE PHONE NUMBERS AND EMAILS FOR EVERYONE MAKING A RESERVATION. as well as WHAT BRANCH THEY ARE FROM AND WHAT THE PAYMENT METHOD WILL BE. most of them will not be paying or will want a credit card AUTH form sent via canary. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS PLEASE GIVE ME OR APRIL A CALL  OR PLEASE JUST LEAVE ME A NOTE ON MY DESK. The note should state the confirmation number, name of guest, and Email to email the CC AUTH. Tia - Audit 12 / 12 / 23

 1. The back gate key is still missing. One of our regular guest that have a huge semi truck needed to be let out. Unfortunately He had to wait until we could locate the back up key. Brennon notified. He was in 450 clc lodging. I didn't check him out as his account stated cash, I didn't want to mess up the payment. 2. A couple was reserved in room 433 however the room was dirty I had to relocate them to room 446. 3. Guest in 308 called down to request a stay over for one more night. Will speak to on coming staff to help bill for tonight as she originally paid through a travel agency and didn't want to come down with her Visa card since it was late.

 The group block for Head Start in November is making reservations. If they are making more than one, we need to be sending a canary for the credit card. Please get that done when taking multiple reservations so we have no issues at check in. Thank you!

Tia Audit 12 / 11 / 23

 1. I received a call from a police officer at 4:25am stating they had an individual that needed a room, relating to DV case. I placed her in room 213, she has a dog. Please charge pet fee. I marked the red code for a pet. Officer asked if she can have a late check out due to her circumstances.  I let him know I would talk to oncoming staff.  2. A delivery was made for the kitchen at 4:40 am for table linens. 3. 3 homeless individuals tried to come into the building but the door was locked, after they read the sign they went away with no problems. 4. Qing Ren left her car in the parking lot paid for 2 nights. Blue Mazda 616ddu may need three nights but will come back to pay for the additional night if needed. She wanted to pay for three nights but wanted to know if she could get a refund if she didn't need the 3rd night. I advised her to contact the front desk if she needed to leave her vehicle for an  additional day.
 Anthony Cox B Shift 12/11/23     1. I have a customer by the name of Amy Cords phone number 360-601-8542 who checked in on Friday and checked out on Sunday Night, now the first 2 nights she used points to pay for the room and then the last night was on the card, she is wondering why she has the charges that she has because she was charged as follows : 12/8 - 100.00, 12/10 - 228.25, and on 12/11 - 25.00 and I can surmise that she was charged the 25 bucks for the pet fee for having her service animal with her, now she says that the dog was a registered service dog and so there should not have been a charge and I tried to help her but she wanted to talk to a manager and so I told her that I would have my supervisor or my Manager give her a ring.     2. I have been getting very irritated at the fact that when lobby and maintenance are not in the building I am not able to unlock certain areas of the hotel as well as the back gate for parking and it was a long and ha...

We had a breach in security today. Tall white guy, 6ft plus, dark blue hoodie, jeans, boots, black back pack. He was able to somehow get into a room. Please keep a watch on who is coming and going.  When maintenance pm's a room, put that room as CLEAN in housekeeping. Leave it in that status even when they are finished. Housekeeping will check the room and put it back in inventory. Remember, if there are two credit cards on a reservation, make a note in the comments which one is for room and tax.      Example:  cc for inc, rt mc 1234 vcc                       cc for inc, rt vs 1234 canary                       cc for inc, rt mc 1234 cc auth                       all charges vs 1234 canary We have to know why the 2nd card is paying, because if it is not a 3rd party virtual card, we have to have a cred...

Tia - Audit 12 / 10 / 23

 1. Audit ran late Brennon notified. A written note is left on the key board  for the cash receipt pertaining to this Brennon will understand. 2. Brian the maintenance guy accidentally took the back gate key home, He gave me a password to retrieve the the back up key if needed. No one needed access to the back gate so I did not  use the code. 3. A white male came in  inquiring about a room. He sat in the lobby as he stated he would reserve the room online from his phone. After 25 minutes I respectfully checked on him. Unfortately I had to ask that he leave the property. I asked several times then walked back to the front desk, I radioed the lobby staff and went back over to ask him to leave again but he quietly disappeared. I checked the bathrooms, the kitchen area and back doors area & halls and could not find him. I let oncoming staff know what occurred and that I had suspicion that he may be in the building. Brennon AM shift 12/10/23

 We have to make sure we are putting pets in pet rooms (213-226) we had a pet in room 450 last night and dog had a couple accidents. I have charged the guest however we NEED TO MAKE SURE WE ARE HAVING THEM IN PET ROOMS. AS of late pets have been causing a lot of damage in rooms.  we may need to start asking each check in if they are traveling with pets if this issue persists.  Room 243 said they left a Tommy Hilfiger DEEP BLUE blazer size 44 in the banquet room last night we let him in but could not find it. If it is found call the phone number on file.  Confirmation  Number: 88331252  A couple other belongings were found in the meeting room such as a pink baby shoe and a necklace looking accessory.  Both are on the back desk. Till have been off multiple times. We need to beware of this if this continues I will have to start investigating. please count the entire till every day every shift.

Kris night Audit 12-09-23

I only caught the tail end of children however there are several complaints this morning about the amount of chaos that overflowed into the lobby last night. And of course there were noise complaints. I directed those concerns to be handled by management, moved Guest out of 317 last night after showing me cockroaches in the room. will put notice in for maintenance. I have been instructed by Taz that only management and or Jeff and Shawn can put a room out of commission i passed this info on to AM main. Brian. and a note on Shawn's door as well 303. part of wedding party was not sure if his card got billed so i did nothing with it. also when i printed folios it looked to me like the inc card is being charged for just the taxes? and market charges on some of them anyway so i just quit pulling payments till Brennen gets here.
 Anthony Cox - B Shift 12/09/23     1. This Place has been a complete mad house since shortly after I got here and Brennan left. The children are unsupervised and being out of control crazy, there seems to not be any kind of parents that are regulating what the kids are doing and so I have been trying to keep them under control and to keep them off of the couches because they have been jumping over the back of the couches and taking things off of the tree, I put cartoons and kids shows on for them on the tv and that only worked on a couple of them. But there should be a tip in it for me like 25 bucks per kid at 22 kids and that would be a good payment for a Ford Focus. Just a thought.     2.

 I do not know what I'm doing wrong that I can not sign into expedia. Brennen please look at room 408 reservation shows tax exempt 0 in box but billing shows taxes being charged so I am confused should they be part of the bill or no?

 Garson room 338 booked through booking says he is supposed to be booked for 2 nights leaving tomorrow but i only show one in the booking reservations he is having breakfast right now but needs to be told that unfortunately booking messed up and he now has to make a new reservation. i was going to do it but felt i needed his ok to put card on file down for reservation 
 Anthony Cox - 12-07-2023 - B Shift     1. Had a gentleman come to the front desk and tell me that he had one compliment for us and that is that our rooms are very well furnished and that he is totally impressed and that he has been in the business now for 17 years and so I wanted to pass along the compliment to the rest of the team because that is a big deal. and On top of that the gentleman will be putting a review for us on Google and that is something that will help the business tremendously.     2. Guest in room 212 Elwanda Iskenderian locked herself out of her room, she was wondering the halls confused as to which room she exited and believed she was due to catch the Groome shuttle that had left at 2 am. I was able to look her up in the system and escort her back to her room. I later spoke to Groome and they had no records of her scheduled to board the shuttle for yesterday or tomorrow. I advised her to reach out to her husband as she is confused stating she was suppose to take the shuttle, then train and later saying her husband is suppose to pick her up in Los Angeles, California. April, B-Shift, 12/4/23

Rm 324 was very upset and yelling at me on his way to his room about the cost of shots at the bar saying he will never stay here again. We had to have the police out to trespass a homeless guy in shorts, gray dirty shirt, and a large pink blanket. Please call them if he shows up again.  Need to get change from Julie tomorrow for both drawers, one only has quarters and a twenty, it needs ones and fives, the other needs quarters, ones, and fives. We had a black male wearing all black going thru pickup trucks in the front parking lot, a guest scared him off, please let security know to keep an eye out.

 - 223&240 checked out early. guest stated that CLC covered all their expenses including breakfast, he even showed me his phone where it saying "complimentary breakfast" I apologized and told him unfortunately we don't do complimentary breakfast, he said he understood then came back down few minutes later saying they were checking out.   - pet fee added to 219 for Tia - Jacob Wise called to make a reservation for a employee of his (Stacy, Savona) for Dec.6th under the government state rate, reservation has been made. I sent out a card authorization form for him but there was a error saying email not found. please reach back out to him at 503-866-8694 to get another email, I tried calling him back but no answer, so I just left a voicemail for him. - 408 has 3 packages. he will be picking it up when he gets off work.

 - guest in room 249 was upset and confused because he was checked in a room that wasn't the room size that he booked online, his reservation popping up didn't come with breakfast but when he made his reservation, it showed that breakfast was included. so I checked the in house guest and realized that he was put in the wrong room and his card was charged twice for both 249 and 319. 
 Anthony Cox - Audit 12-02-23/12-03-23     1. Upon Arriving to the hotel I could see that there was legitimately Zero Parking and there were a lot of drunk people. I had to make several re-makes of room keys as well as having another individual come down the elevator with no shoes and no shirt on. I made him another key card and sent him to his room to put some clothes on, he was in the hallway in his underwear when his fellow soldiers found him and remedied the situation.     2.  There is a group that was booked under Expedia for 1 night, they will be leaving around 4:30-5am, they don't get any receipts. They will be asking if new reservations have come in for them probably, but tell them they will just have to come back to check in when they get off work.  Can not figure out why I can not print from either computer My reports got ran and i was able to print the downtime report but nothing after that. saved audit files in folder to print later when issue is fixed. printer is asking for dept. code and pin??
