 Anthony Cox 11-30-23 B Shift     1. I was honored to help a couple of people with dementia tonight, Brennan and Myself were approached by an elderly couple who had lost their way and could not find there way back to their hotel and did not know which hotel that they belonged to or even if they had even paid yet. We assisted in getting them back to there hotel and the family was so grateful it was awesome.     2. I would still advocate for a sign for the store because we need to be up front with our guests about NO CASH / CARD ONLY and that one still gets me into hot water sometimes. I vote YES.     3. We are having big time problems printing from the computers, Kris came in and we are unable to print anything and so I am going to stay on a little bit and try to help her figure it out. When are we doing the new computers changeover? We need them badly this is getting out of hand. 

Brennon PM SHift 11/30/23

 Karen Caballero Is already checked in we need to get a card for inc from her. She will be in tomorrow evening to properly check in with ID and CC for INCDENTALS. James Ledesma was check in by accident. He is in INHOUSE GUEST ADD HIS CARD FOR INC once he arrives. We need his card before we give keys.

April, A-Shift, 11/30/23

 Alex, please be checking Expedia and Booking before changing to tax exempt. Mena and I had Rm 351 from last night, all set and ready to go. You made it tax exempt when on Booking it shows taxes are to be paid. This morning it showed we owed a credit back, so I had to manually post the taxes back on.  EVERYONE!!! Check Expedia and Booking before making reservations tax exempt!!!       * Kris and Alex: Routings, room assignments, everything is ready for tomorrows arrivals, please do          not change anything.

Tia - Audit 11 / 29 / 23

 1. Room 339 called stating they're tv isn't working. She called once before 11 pm.  I apologized and let her know that on coming staff will be able to assist her at 12 am when they arrive for their shift. She stated if her TV was unable to be fixed she would like to receive a discount for the inconvenience. I let her know she could contact management tomorrow morning if on coming staff was unable to  accommodate her.  Matt later went up at 11:55 pm and did not receive a answer. Snoring was heard coming from the room. A maintenance form was completed.

Tia - Audit 11 - 28 - 23

  ATTENTION TASLIMA!!! Robert  from Digital Hands called this morning stating you need to call him ASAP Case # WK 5521  1 -(800) - 400 - 3041 regarding the system refresh. He stated the refresh is supposed to be completed by January however the slots / appointment availability are quickly filling up and if you do not contact him to schedule a appointment immediately it's possible that the system update will have to be delayed until later during the upcoming year. Staff please be sure to relay this to Tas. I will send her a text as well. Thank you Opera has been messing up throughout the night with 2 errors stating " the incom interface is not running" & also "micro 3700 enhanced  interface not running". The restaurant is also having a error . I tried to contact Opera. Day staff will have Sarah assist. 

Mena A-Shift 11/29/23

    1.  233 was super rude and upset, guest stated that he wanted a refund because he says "his room was not completely handicap accessible" but when I checked his reservation there was no payment, it was under IHG REWARDS POINTS.  this guest is a DIAMOND MEMBER, Brennon please have his points refunded back to him (PER TIFFANIE)    2. called opera and there was no issue found. Opera stated that the server in the back was shut down that's why the system wasn't working, in order for our opera system to work the MAIN SERVER in the back needs to be turned on. 3. guest in 303 left without taking their belongings, called about 3times and got sent to voicemail. there's a arrival today for that room so I've called the guest again leaving a voicemail that we will be removing their belongings from the room and they can pick it up from the front desk.     - small suitcase // large black trash bag // small cooler // a small bag w the footlocker label  JU...

April, B-Shift, 11/28/23

 Reservation for Justin Muriara on the 1st and 2nd: He made a reservation for the 1st for a xexn, and a rewards night for the 2nd, and wanted to stay in the same room. He was then told he could. This is incorrect as both of the xexn are booked for the 2nd already. He has been called and informed he can only have the xexn for the 1st, but will have to move on the 2nd. I offered a xkln for both night or just sat night. He will decide and call us. When someone is wanting to extend a stay, or modify upcoming reservations, you need to be looking at the calendar!!! It shows you what rooms are available for what dates. We will be going over this in the meeting as well. If you have any questions , please let me know.

Mena A-Shift11/28/23

 1. guest in 227 has a suitcase at the front desk that was dropped off, called his room but no answer. He is out right now and will pick it up when he gets back to the property. --- picked up, April 2. 332 came down asking for a breakfast voucher, Julie approved it since the guest showed us on his phone the deal that was offered to him for $10, he hasn't been charged yet because I don't know how to add that payment to his room. --- charges added by April 3. reservation was made to a guest name TORREY,TYLER. he called back to ask for the government rate, I don't know how to change the rate so could someone please have that updated. He will be checking in on December 1st and I did let him know that he will need to bring his government ID or else the rate will be 140 instead of 107.---- Rate adjusted by April

Tia 11/27/23 Audit

 1. Upon coming on shift I received 2 calls regarding a guest in room 306. Her family stated they had not heard from her after she checked in and found it uncommon that she had not contacted any of her family members as they stated she is known to be on her phone very often. I was unable to give out her room number but did make a attempt to contact the room as well as knock on the door to no avail. I reported to her son that I was unable to make contact and advised him to contact Salem PD for a welfare check per management. At this time A officer is here conducting a welfare check. Her belongings are inside her room but she was not, the officers stated they would continue to investigate her whereabouts. I reached out to the pervious B shift staff whom stated she was last seen with her co workers hanging out. They all have rooms here 301, 302 & 306. Unfortunately the officers left before I was able to convey the message. The officers later returned and the the woman showed up as...

Tia - Audit 11 / 26 / 27

 1. An incident occurred regarding the computers. All computers were shut off and unplugged. They were later rebooted, the left computer could not gain access to the internet. I contacted Brian and he was able to hook everything up properly and get the computer to work. Tas was contacted and nothing weird has popped up or shown on the computers. The individual that called at the beginning of my shift did not call back throughout the night. There is nothing else to report.   
 Anthony Cox B Shift 11/26/23     1. I am on right hand computer terminal and I have no access to booking.com or expedia due to the fact that it is requiring a confirmation code and I have no access to those.     2. The real question is Do You Have a Name on The Lancaster? Bet Not     3. At approximately 8:10p.m. I was outside having a smoke break when I heard the shouting match that was happening with tenant in room 205 and her guest who was outside the hotel at the vehicle, I told the guest to get back inside of the window and to quit screaming or I would be forced to evict her. The lady that was at the Van was not going to be quiet, she was dumping out antifreeze into the barkdust and screaming profanity at the upstairs guest. I promptly called 911 and had officers arrive less then 5 minutes after my phone call.  1. guest called asking about a limit on dogs, he hung up while I was finding out. If he calls back let him know that the limit is 2 PETS PER ROOM, $25 PER PET PER NIGHT.

                        G O O D M O R N I N G 1)  Reinstated guest Nunez room 226 he apparently jumped the gun on checking out early this morning. The original Reservation was for check in 11-25-23 check out 11-26-23 I made the original reservation so i reinstated it for the original date instead of a day use 11-25-23 to 11-25-23. There was a language barrier we used google translate and a friend of mine who i called. 2) Can someone print out a cheat sheet with all rate codes that include breakfast please there are some i am totally unsure of and instead of arguing with a guest i give breakfast 3)Guest Gallino ( canary)  did not check in could not find her in canary.

 1. Please Lock the doors at night while working Audit. Tonight I had to contact the police due to a male individual trying to enter the hotel while exposing himself. Luckily Anthony was able to scare him off. He was a Caucasian male in his mid fifties driving a Dodge Durango. 2. Brennon or April can one of you check room 420 to ensure he is being charge correctly. He wanted to add breakfast to his reservation. As he is staying here for 23 days. I am unsure how to update his reservation to ensure the correct  rate code reflects he is to receive breakfast. 3. Everyone needs to be paying attention to the government Canada rate and changing it. Any government rate you need to ask for government ID. If it is state, county, federal, or anything in the US, it has to be IMGOV or IMSTI. If you have questions about this, please let me know. Booking and Expedia sites have to be checked before setting up routing. We talked about this in the meeting. You have to check if taxes are charged and if it is a virtual card or guest card. If you have questions, please let me know. Rate codes that include breakfast are for 2 adult vouchers only. They do not get the free kids meals with these. Kids voucher is for 11yrs old and under, it is only good with a paid adult meal. IHG Employee Rate rules: We cannot book the employee rate for outside IHG employees.  Anthony & Tia - 11-21-23 Night Audit Training     1. Nothing major to report other then Tia is a good trainer and after one more night of Night Audit I should be able to accomplish the tasks the shift requires. That is all from Anthony.  2. I had to call security to escort a gentleman off the property as he tried to stay in the stairwell to avoid the weather. He ;eft without incident and did not return. 3. I had to contact 911 due to a individual refusing to leave the property. She stayed in between the doors talking to herself and began calling me out of name when asked to leave. She opted to sleep on the luggage cart in between the doors. She later left with the EMT and fire department. She abandoned a grocery cart with clothes and a stroller outside the hotel. Unfortunately her belongings were placed near the garbage area.

 Anthony Cox - B-Shift 11/20/2023 1. Darrell Brown had a reservation for 11/21/23 and he changed it to the following Tuesday 11/28/23. 2. I did my drawer check upon arrival as well as started my check list. 3. I talked to the lobby worker about the windows in the front of the building and he told me that I need to ask maintenance in the morning time and they go over them. I am never here in the mornings so if someone could please talk to the powers that be about getting the windows cleaned that would be great because they look dingy.  4. I do not know of a way to look up someone's IHG membership number and when i did go to the external site that is attached to Opera, there was no username and password located anywhere that I could find and so I was unable to help the guest with her membership number.  5. Also if you get a chance to connect with Mr. Crable room 444 he also Travels alot for work says the company is small but only one of a handful for the type of work performed so he may also be intrested in speaking with Tiffany.  414 wake up call set for 930 205 requests he be able to check out at 4pm due to training not over till 330.   i had issues with the printer last night so folios did not get delivered. payment receipts are printed and ready for when they check out.
 Anthony Cox B Shift 11/16/23     1. I locked the computer by entering the wrong password too many times and so I had to call April to get her login information for the computer on the right and so I had been checking people in on the computer on the right and making key cards on the computer in the back room until I was able to unlock my terminal.      2. The bar called me and they were not able to issue any checks for their patrons and so I called April and she directed me to Brennan who told me that I needed to call Opera and he gave me the number and then told me to hold on and that he would call Taz and about the time that he is going to come back in to the hotel the Bar called me again and told me that they had accidentally turned the part of the system that allows them to issue checks and make receipts.  Kris Night Audit 11-15-23 I moved Jonny Freeman from room 244 to 246 due to the A/C not working, He will move when he returns from work around 6pm. his key is in the left top drawer. i put in request for it to be repaired. Complaints from guest that the 2nd floor hallway smelled of weed. said he believed it to be coming from around 209. i did not smell anything  upon my rounds or when i delivered folios.

 Lets make sure we are looking at clc website every shift. If anyone has questions please let me know.  When ever we see a booking.com reservation we need to go into the Booking website and verify if it is tax exempt. A lot of taxes not being charged. Lets collect all we can on booking.com reservations. Edger Cejas is coming in tonight read the alerts. Get CC from each individual person! Take the card on file off that will not be paying for any rooms.

Tia - Audit 11 / 14 / 23

 1. I tried to make a reservation for a new guest in room 410. However room 410 was already occupied by a guest Ethan Schindler whom reservation was entered incorrectly. The reservation was updated as arrival on 11 / 14 / 23 and due for check out as the same date. In order for me to complete my audit I had to check him out of the system. At this time I am unable to reinstate him back into the system. I will try to contact him in the morning as no phone number was obtained for him during check in. I want to make sure he is checking out today or if he needs a s/o. 2. Room 420 Florian Grosch will like to add breakfast to his reservation as he will be staying with us for 23 days. I am unsure how to modify that to his existing reservation.

Mena- A shift 11/14/23

 1. moved guest in 204 to room 211 but all his belongings are still in room 204 and he hasn't came back onto the property. I did contact to let him know that his key for 211 is ready and waiting for at the front desk and he also might need a new card key for 204 to get his belongings. 2. the guest in 350, Taslima and I went over her billing and everything looks good, please make sure you are billing the RIGHT CARD. 3. guest in 426 checks out on Friday but they are wanting to check out tomorrow morning, the reservation dates has been changed already. 4. 418 has a mail for them in the back, its in the back office. A GUEST CALLED SAYING SHE LEFT HER LENS GLASSES AND SOMEONE CALLED HER TO LET HER KNOW THAT WE HAVE IT BOXED FOR HER BUT I WASN'T ABLE TO FIND IT. 

Tia - Audit 11 - 13 - 23

1. Room 350 accidentally was charged for the total amount of her stay. She should have been only charged the incidentals. I made 2 windows but may have accidently hit authorize card as I was trying to check her in. Can management please reach out to her asap Claudia Calvo (310) - 418 - 0439. This also happened to her on her last stay and she stated it took almost a month to receive a refund. unfortunately she is upset and wants to resolve this ASAP. 2. Is there any business cards with the hotel information available? Guest have been requesting business cards, I was able to write down all the information needed. 3. Room 204 is requesting a room change to another room facing the front parking lot due to he has a company vehicle that could be easily broken into or stolen. Guest stated he would feel more comfortable if he was able to look at the window and see his vehicle. He's leaving for work at 6:30 am and will return in the afternoon to switch and gather his belongings. Please swit...

Mena-A shift 11/13/23

 1. a guest complained about requesting for a full s/o yesterday and came back to their rooms the exact same way. PLEASE communicate with the housekeepers on request of stays over to avoid any more complaints please and thank you.  2. guests prefers to have their receipts slid under their door or left at the front desk instead of leaving it by their door handle since all their information are on there.  3. room 404 was due for a checkout today but extended their stay online, I called them to let them know that their old keys won't work anymore and to come get the new keys I've set up for them but they haven't came down to get them yet.  PLEASE DON'T GIVE OUT LATE CHECK OUTS LATER THAN 12PM, IF THEY AREN'T DIAMOND MEMBERS (PER SEAN)  4. room 418 has a package in the back office, he will come pick it up once he's back on property.

Anthony Cox 11/12/23 B - Shift

    1. I forgot to have the guests fill out registration cards.      2. I keep having a problem with checking people in when I select 9 for the 100.00 deposit and 1 for the charge for the room. I have to split it into 2 payments and have them pay for the room and deposit seperate even though they are using the same card, just curious if I have to set the transaction up the same way every time.      3. I had to run off a homeless lady named Brandy that continues to run in the hotel and try to get past the desk and the last time I told her that if she does it again that she will be trespassed and arrested.     4. I had a couple people call and want their folio sent to them, I was just curious if I could do that from the terminal here or if I had to have someone else do that.     5. TV's have not been working, I have had to call maintenance to at least 5 rooms tonight with the same exact problem. 

Mena-A shift 11/12/23

System was down but it came back up around 8am, lags here and there but for now its fine.           1. 431 is checking out at 4pm, $50 late check out. approved by Brennon 2. "when people ask for a stay over, ask them what time is best for them and communicate with the housekeeping crew" -Sean        guest in 226 complained because he waited for early morning service that he requested and didn't get it at the time he requested it for. Keys for Johnny freeman who is checking in to room 244 are left in the left side till. Please check id before handing them out! (per. Brennon) Room 428 will be ready by 6pm called guest and they said they will be here about 7-8 pm for the room. At approximately 7:45pm I had to call 911 on a person on the hawthorne side of the building trying to set fire to one of our trees. 911 Responded and I have not found out whether or not it has been resolved but I had the person in question trespassed from the property.      2. Room 333 was filthy, I put a guest in the room and he came back down mad because there was a baby crib and a bunch of stuff on the floor. So i had to give him a different room and he got room 444.     3. I had a guest need adjoining rooms and the rooms that she was given put her children down the hall and so I had to do a room change and for the inconvenience and security of it, I wound up giving her the last set of adjoining rooms because all of the others were occupied.     4.  1.Made contact with 250 and was able to extend his stay for another night. 2. Room 450- Gilberto Gonzalez left to deliver his load he requested if he does not make contact with the front desk by check out 11 am to request a stay over he would like to be checked out. His keycard is located on the left side of the front desk with a note attached.  3 Rooms 203, 407, 431 were reinstated so that the restaurant will be able to charge their breakfast vouchers to their accounts. Please make sure these rooms are checked out by 11 am, Thank you! 4. Stephen Parks left is luggage, it is located in the back office closet. He will be returning tomorrow to retrieve it when he checks in for another stay. 5.416 does not want room service.

Mike Kent called about being charged with tax but he was staying with us for business, stated that he came with his government identification so he should've got a exempt tax for the nights he stayed with us. I've contacted him back at (615) 557-7803 and told him that he needs to email a tax exempt form in order to get the tax removed, he has our email and should be sending it soon. PLEASE HAVE THE TAX REMOVED WHEN HE SENDS THE FORM. 3. there was a gentlemen name Anthony that called about losing his keys on a lanyard by the terminal computers, claims he was a guest but I can't find him in the system.  4.  1. Room 230 Bruce Foster car keys were delivered, they are located in the back office near the computer. (PICKED UP HIS KEYS!) 2. 1. I am still learning this system, but having issues not charging people double or not at all. I have a guest in room 332 that I over charged, well I saw the Approved amount of 231 covering the room plus the deposit and then it still tried to make me charge her for another 131 and it declined it. I had a long line of people and so i wound up giving her the room key because i saw the system approve her for that amount and I decided to fix it after the rush that I had. Well now, the system refunded her money and she is staying in the hotel room free of charge at the moment and I am calling her to get her to come back down and pay for her room.  2. Bryan the maintenance guy wanted a room, so I charged him for the price of the room which came to 88.00, but then he was not able to pay for the price of the deposit. Please be sure to charge him a pet fee when he checks out as I do not know how to add the pet fee to his bill. 2.Marie Eleanorlebria was a no show. I reinstated her so Brennon could bill her correctly as I couldn't bill her as a no show due to she reserved the room through booking.com and her deposit was "CP". 3.  1. At 4:50 am room 315 called to make a noise complaint about room 313. He stated he knocked on the door to ask them to turn the music down and the guest in room 313 began to curse and threaten him. He stated he feels uncomfortable and asked for someone to go up to the room. I called security and at they are in-route.  Just received another call from 315 stating the same thing apparently there was a minor physical altercation of  the guest in 315 and 313  pushing one another. Security showed up. 313 first declined to open the door but security announced his presence and continued to knock until 313 opened the door. He gave them a warning. The music was turned off at this time security preparing to leave. I received another call  from room 315 for a noise complaint again for 313.     Anthony Cox Blog : My shift was from 3 - 11 and I was able to check in about 35 guests plus I had a lot of walk ins, I was having problems with the card reader on almost every guest that did not have a reservation. I gave the government rate to 2 people, both of which had police badges and I took that as government I.D. but I had to override the room code. I had checked in a lady that had been physically assaulted by her husband and was frantically scared to be seen through the windows and that was the reason that I checked her in without giving her name and address or phone number.     I was not able to fully take her Credit Card at the time of giving her a room due to the nature of the encounter, but the card was valid and ran the 100 for the security deposit, upon brennan coming to the hotel He was able to help me out and make heads or tails of the transaction and charge her for the price of the room.      So the card reader gave me problems all...

The buffet is for SOU volleyball it is scheduled from 8-10 AM. The Central Washington Cross Country will have vouchers for breakfast.  1.Rooms 403, 407 and 413 are with the Oregon Head Start Association. Susan stated when making the reservation with a staff she requested to stay until Friday to complete the trainings. All 3 rooms need a stay over until Friday morning. 2. Room 303 requested a stay over and would like more shampoo please.  3.Rooms 423, 419 and 421 were still in the system although they were scheduled to leave 10 - 31 -23. I'm not sure if those rooms are occupied but I had to check them out in order to complete my audit.  4. At 6:20 am a guest noticed a dark grey Chrysler  license plate :KDN7817 van door open. I checked it out no one was inside so I closed the door. 5. Room 415 checked in last night, he will be here for 10 days working overnights. He requested if he can receive his room s/o after 3 pm if possible so that he would not be awaken after he gets off work.
